Dear Foundation,
Please find attached our planning for this week. You might find this useful if your child is self-isolating at home.
| PSHE | This week, children will draw a picture of a special family member using felt tips and water. Children will be asked to say why they are special and record this in a speech bubble. |
| Literacy | The children will write a report about the invertebrate they have designed on their TASC sheet. Children will also get an opportunity to retell the story of the Hungry Caterpillar to their friends using props. In our continuous provision, the children will be challenged to write their own set of instructions to plant cress. |
| Maths | This week, children will practise counting in steps of 2s and 10s. They will be asked to make links with their odd and even number knowledge. Taking it further- Guess my number using a hundred square. In our countinuous provision, children will be challenged to make their own number caterpillar and count in 2s or 10s. |
| Phonics | The children will all have a one to one reading session with their teacher. In phonics the children will be recapping set 2 and 3 sounds. They will practise applying their knowledge by writing a sentence. |

Understanding The world | This week we are implementing our TASC design of an invertebrate using papier mache.
This week children will plant cress and let it grow in different environments. They will make predictions about which cress plant will grow the best and be healthy. |
