SENDIAS
SENDIAS is a free, statutory service that provides Independent advice and support for parents.
They offer a range of help:
- Explaining legal and statutory processes
- National and Local SEN Policies
- Your rights and options
- SEN Support and The Graduated Response
- Education Health and Care (EHC) Needs Assessment
- Exclusion advice
- Complaints procedures
- Mediation and Appeals
- Communication between you and other services
- Advocacy for children, young people and families
Anyone can contact SENDIAS without referral, either via their website or on 0114 273 6009.
The Local Offer
The Local Offer is a website that is written for parents and families. It is a guide to all schools and services in our area. It includes information on:
- Schools
- Leisure activities
- Holiday activities
- Support services
- Health services (for example the speech and language therapy team).
