DOBCROFT INFANT SCHOOL

Keeping Active at Home

Lesson: Physical education

Class: Mice Year: 2019 - 2020

Hi all,

I hope that you are all doing well, and keeping safe at home.  I thought it was important that I share some things that you can do at home to keep active while you are home together.  During this time it is vital to keep active and keep exercising together as it helps to support brain function, and will keep us all healthy.

Joe Wicks - Joe Wicks is doing a daily PE lesson on his youtube channel at 9am.  We have been doing this, and have loved seeing that you have too.

Cosmic Yoga - something we use at school and is great fun doing yoga moves alongside stories.  Type Cosmic Kids Yoga into youtube.

Go Noodle - it's free to sign up for an account and there are lots of short fun, dance along videos to enjoy.

I moves - this online company have added some resources to help support home learning with active learning videos and active blasts which they update daily.  Follow the link below;

BBC Supermovers - Curriculum based videos that keep kids moving at the same time, activities range from counting, to learning grammar rules.  Follow the link below:

There are lots of other fun things that you can do, like dancing around to your favourite music, personal challenges to see how many of an activity you could do in a set time, make up and design your own games using things you have in your house,but most importantly have fun and stay safe.

I hope that you find these things useful, and please send us pictures or share with us on twitter how you are staying active at home.
