Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Chocolate Room

Hello Year 2,
I just wanted to inform you of the plans for next week slightly earlier incase you wanted to prepare.
One of the topics we do in Year 2 is to create our own setting description for the Chocolate Room in Charlie and the Chocolate Facotry ( our English work this week and next.)
As part of this topic we design and make our own chocolate room out of sweets/ chocolates/ art materials/ shoebox. The children look forward to this ( and ask us about it from the beginning of the year) so we wanted to give the opportuntiy to include it again this year even though we know the circumstances are very different!
As always these are not compulsory tasks and can be adapted or left out to suit individual families needs.
There will be a design sheet next week and the chance to make the Chocoalte Room in a shoebox/cardboard box if you wish. In previous years children have used real sweets to create this! They can then write about the Chocolate Room they have designed and made for their setting description (or keep writing about the one they have seen in the film clip) and send us any photos of the creations they have made!
