I am the clerk to the governors and joined Dobcroft Infants in April 2015 as the School Business Manager. Previously a school parent, I worked for fifteen years in South Yorkshire Police as part of the Business Change Department.  As such, I have experience in leading change management, project management and continuous improvement.

Within school I am a member of the Senior Leadership Team and am responsible for all aspects of the general day to day running of the school building, resources, financial management, HR and health and safety.

I love working with the children in such a wonderful school and I provide a non teaching staff view at governing body and committee meetings.

Rachael Martin

Co-Opted Governor (Nov 2014 - )

I am a Town Planner and for the past ten years I have worked in Leeds as a Planning Consultant advising clients on planning and development matters. My career involves working as part of large multi-disciplinary teams and developing relationships with people through excellent communication skills. This ensures the delivery of successful projects within budget and tight deadlines. I believe these professional skills will help in the role of parent governor.
My eldest son is in the junior school and my youngest son will start in 2018. So I have embarked upon what I hope will be a long, enjoyable and rewarding relationship with the school.
Currently I am on a career break from work and so I will be able to offer my time and enthusiasm to the school in its PSA activities and perhaps as a Governor. I relish the opportunity to engage with parents and to promote the school and the interests of its children. I would hope to work closely with all parents and to support Mrs Rowland and her Staff in their quest to ensure that the school continues to give its children an outstanding education. If elected I would welcome the chance to learn more about the school and its educational processes which might also contribute to my own continuing development.

Chris Harland

LA Governor (July 2015 - )

I have a background of working in school and college IT departments as well as being an IT Security officer for the NHS. I hold an Msc in Computing and currently work in the cyber-threat intelligence field for a FTSE100.

Vicky Blackburn

Associate Governor (Oct 2015 -)

I currently have one child in Year 2. I hope that by becoming governor that I can help support them, and other children at the school, in getting the best start in life.

I have over ten years experience in marketing and communications and for some of that time I have worked with schools providing health and safety talks, workshops and other activities within the local community. I am experienced in several areas of communications such as writing and editing copy, website management and event organisation which I hope will be of help in my role as a governor.

I really enjoy working with others and welcome the opportunity to support the school and help build on its on-going success.
