Well done Rabbits!

Welcome to the Rabbit class blog. We have had such a busy first couple of weeks back at school, and everyone seems to be enjoying being in Year One.

Our whole school topic this term is 'Houses and Homes'. Our books for this half term are 'Mr Gumpy's Outing' and 'The Three Little Pigs'. We love listening the stories and most of us can remember the whole of the story off by heart now!

This week we have been learning about:

Maths

As part of our new Maths Mastery scheme, we have been having a 'Maths Moment' every single day. We have been learning lots of different number songs to help us to remember number patterns, sequences and solve problems such as 'How many more to make 10?' We have also been exploring number patterns and sequences in our numeracy lessons.

Literacy

The book we are exploring is Mr Gumpy's Outing. We have become actors and actresses and been acting the book out to create our own story map. We have also made our own Mr Gumpy books, complete with front covers that we designed ourselves.
