Welcome Squirrels to our Squirrels blog.

Please keep your eye on our class blog for all the exciting things we have been doing.

We have had a fabulous first couple of weeks back at school. We have been doing some fantastic writing about our holiday. we have been very interested in all the exciting places you have been during the holidays.

This week in our lessons we have been learning about:

Maths

Year 1s have started a new Maths Mastery. This week our learning objective has been number sequences, one more and one less. Next week we will look at number bonds to 10 and representing them using part-part whole models.

English

The book we are exploring is Mr Gumpy's Outings. We have wrote sentences about the Mr Story and used story maps to recap the story. We have also acted out the story of Mr Gumpy to help us remember the story.
