Welcome back after the break to our final term in Year 1!

This term our topic is 'Food and Growth'; this half-term we are focussing on Food and then after the May half-term holidays we will be focussing on Growth. We are learning about food from different countries around the world and some of you have already brought in your Homework with lots of information on!

Writing and SPAG:

We are using James and the Giant Peach as our text to write about. We have watched the film and are reading the book in class, looking at the characters and identifying SPAG features like -ed endings, plurals and exciting adjectives and nouns Please keep practising your Super Spellings at home and writing all your letters the right way round.

Maths:

In maths we are extending our number skills by adding and subtracting with numbers to 100
